Mayor’s Christmas & New Year Message – December 2021
On behalf of myself, the Deputy Mayor, Councillors and Staff, I’d like to wish the Residents of the Town of St. George’s a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
2021 has certainly been unpredictable through the pandemic and so many more difficulties that has made living life so hard for so many. May you experience peace, joy, happiness and good health throughout the Christmas season and in the coming New Year. May we work hard to not let negative times affect us adversely and rather focus on achieving our dreams and aspirations.
We are extremely grateful and privileged to have served this great community throughout 2021 and we thank you for your commitment to community and especially your continued support.
To our residents, we send a heartfelt thank you. Our beautiful community would not be what it is today without having so many amazing residents. We hope that you share our belief that the Town of St. George’s is a strong sustainable community that is an exceptional place to live.
Council would like to thank the Staff for another year of professionalism, reliability, hard work, and their attention to a safe workplace. Special thanks are extended to our community of volunteers, without your generous enthusiasm and support our community would not be able to succeed in the way that it does.
To our volunteer Fire Fighters, lead by Chief Toby White, we are grateful for your continued service and the risks you’re all willing to take to keep our community safe.
The Office will be closed from December 24th, 2021, and will re-open on January 4nd, 2022. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Town of St. George’s.
As 2021 is ending, it’s an opportunity to leave behind the struggles and hard times that we all have faced with uncertainty and as we enter upon the New Year let us all embrace 2022. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Town of St. George’s!
Mayor Daniel Conway
