TAKE NOTICE that the Town Council of the Town of St. George’s, pursuant to the provision of the Expropriation Act, RSNL 1990, c. EW-16, and all amendments thereto, intends to expropriate lands for municipal purposes.
The lands proposed to be expropriated are located at the end of Forest Drive, in the Town of St. George’s, Province of Newfoundland and Labrador, and are described as follows:
- All that piece or parcel of land measuring approximately 100 feet by 100 feet, more or less, situate at the terminus of Forest Drive.
The purpose of the proposed expropriation is to facilitate the provision of essential municipal services, including but not limited to:
- Construction of a public roadway turnaround.
- Installation, operation, and maintenance of water infrastructure; and
- Installation, operation, and maintenance of sanitary sewer infrastructure.
AND TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that any person claiming an estate or interest in the said lands is required to notify the Town of St. George’s, in writing, of the nature and extent of such interest within thirty (30) days from the date of publication of this Notice.
